Ralston, NE - Former Omaha Lancers forward and current Boston University freshman, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

In his first season with the Boston University Terriers, Forsbacka-Karlsson is ranked third on the team with 29 points, 10 goals and 19 assists. Among all Hockey East rookies, the Boston Bruins prospects ranks fifth in total points. His in-conference total of 19 points (6g, 13a) is tied for third among all Hockey East freshmen.

In a two-year stint with the Omaha Lancers, Forsbacka-Karlsson racked up a total of 26 goals and 60 assists for 86 points in 110 games played. He was invited and won the Team West MVP at the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Dubuque, IA.

The Lancers are back home this Saturday and Sunday as they host the Fargo Force. Saturday's puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Can't make it?
