Former Wrangler Kameron Prewitt Joins Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced Monday the addition of IFL experienced DB/WR Kameron Prewitt to the roster.

Prewitt(25), most recently played with the IFL's Northern Arizona Wranglers in 2021, tallying eight tackles, one interception, and one special team touchdown in two games.

The brand-new Oiler displayed his talents at Campbell College, earning Second Team All-Big South and Third Team All-Big South. In two seasons, the 5'11, 190 lbs. defensive back started 21 games, totaling 69 tackles, three and a half of which were tackles for loss, three interceptions, 15 pass deflections, and one forced fumble.

"Kameron is a solid two-way player," said head coach Marvin Jones. "I had a chance to coach him in the Tropic Bowl and he is a big playmaker."

Prior to his time at Campbell College, the former Camel played a season at Mesa Community College, suiting up for ten games, recording 44 tackles, three being tackles for loss, one sack, and three interceptions as the Thunderbirds finished the 2017 season ranked fifth in the NJCAA polls.

During high school, the Birmingham, Alabama native was a standout duel-athlete as a two-time all-tournament honor in basketball. The former Cougar was a defensive ballhawk, registering 110 tackles, nine interceptions, and 36 pass deflections. As a senior, he helped guide the team to a state championship in 2014.

With this announcement, the Oilers announced roster now includes James Summers(QB), Deonte Cruse(OL/DL), Maliek Stephens(RB), Christopher Ivy(OL), Eric Sadler(DL), Jeremiah Harris(WR), William Auwae(OL), Tre Harvey(LB), Jamon Langford(WR), Kazon Edwards(LB), Tre King(RB), Bobby Froehlich (QB), Ja'Davien Williams(DL), Joshua Robinson(RB), Tyler Jones(WR), Myles Tease(WR), Caleb Wells(DL), Kevin Moore(DB), Kelvin Jenkins(DB), Gibson Ziah(DL), Stanley Dye(DL), Connor Flagel(DL), Patrick Barrett(OL), and Kameron Prewitt(DB/WR).

Additional players Oilers Football owns IFL rights to include Dominic Logan(OL/DL, Pittsburgh Maulers USFL) and Larry Williams(OL, Las Vegas Vipers XFL)

The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
