Former Wizards Players Make NBA Rosters

Bismarck, N.D. (October 26, 2010) - The Dakota Wizards announced today that three former Wizards players will start the 2010-11 season on NBA rosters. The NBA regular season tips off tonight as the Miami Heat visit the Boston Celtics, the Phoenix Suns visit the Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets visit the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Hasheem Thabeet, 23, begins his second season with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 7'3 center from Connecticut averaged 13.8 points and 11.2 rebounds in six games with the Wizards last season. Thabeet was the highest drafted player ever to appear in the NBA Development League.

Lester Hudson, 26, has changed Wizards affiliates and will suit up for the Washington Wizards to start the 2010-11 NBA season. Hudson, a 6'3 guard, averaged 16.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and dished out 63 assists in 15 games with the Dakota Wizards last season.

Iranian born Hamed Haddadi, 25, is in his third season with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 7'2 Haddadi was assigned to the Dakota Wizards during the 2008-09 season. Haddadi appeared in 18 games that season and averaged 5.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and blocked 30 shots for the Dakota Wizards.
