Former Wings Shine on Opening College Night

Former Wings forward CJ Reuschlein scored a goal in the opening game helping Army to 2-1 win over Sacred Heart. Reuschlein played 20 games for the Aberdeen Wings in the 2011-2012 season where he scored 5 goals and 8 assists. Last season as a freshman, he scored 11 goals and 11 assists for Division-I Army.

Former All-NAHL defenseman and current UMass d-man Jake Horton scored the first goal of his collegiate career in an 8-1 loss to Boston University. Horton was a two-year defenseman for the Aberdeen Wings from 2012-2014. He tallied a total 32 goals and 44 assists for 76 points in 117 games. He was also a member of the 2013-2014 NAHL Top Prospects team and was named to the All-NAHL 1st Team.

Former Wings forward Erik Baskin also scored the first goal of his collegiate career Friday night helping Air Force beat Mercyhurst 5-1. Baskin was also a two-year player for the Aberdeen Wings logging 113 games played. In his NAHL career, Baskin scored 36 goals and 26 assists. In 2013-2014, he was tied for 2nd on the team with 21 goals.

The Aberdeen Wings are proud to have 25 current/former players with Division I commitments. The Aberdeen Wings organization prides themselves on the excellence of advancing players on to Division I and Division III college rosters.
