
Former Rockets Forward Quinney Signs NHL Deal

The NHL's Vegas Golden Knights announced on Friday the signing of former Kelowna Rockets forward Gage Quinney to a two-year entry-level contract with the club.
The Las Vegas native played a total of 182 games in the WHL including 43 regular season games with the Rockets. During his time in Kelowna he amassed 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points. Quinney added six goals and seven assists for 13 points in 15 post season games en route to capturing an Ed Chynoweth Cup with the Rockets in 2015 before scoring four goals and adding an assist in five games to help the Rockets to the Memorial Cup final.
Quinney spent his first season out of junior hockey playing in the ECHL for the Wheeling Nailers. The 5'11, 201lb. forward notched 18 goals and 26 assists for 44 points in 45 games that season and earned himself a promotion to the AHL. During the 2017-2018 regular season, he played for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. In 57 games Quinney posted 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points earning himself a two-year deal with the Golden Knights.
