Former Forward Mikey Eyssimont Signs with Los Angeles Kings

FARGO, ND - Former Force forward Mikey Eyssimont has signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings announced the signing of the 21-year-old Littleton, Colorado native to an entry-level deal today. Eyssimont was selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Draft.

Eyssimont played parts of three seasons for the Force from 2013 to 2015. He scored 66 points (31-35-66) in 108 games with the Force. Eyssimont went on to play for the Sioux Falls Stampede, where he won a Clark Cup under current Fargo head coach Cary Eades in 2015.

Eyssimont played college hockey at St. Cloud State University, where he topped 30 points in each of his three years for the Huskies. He was named NCHC Tournament MVP in his freshman year (2015-16), an honorable mention all-star his sophomore year (2016-17), and a second team all-star this past season (2017-18). He finished with 102 points (45-57-102) in 115 games at St. Cloud State.

St. Cloud State lost to Air Force in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament last week, ending its season.

The Force return to Scheels Arena tomorrow for a weekend series with the Lincoln Stars. Friday night's game is Girls Youth Hockey Night. Olympic gold medalists Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson will be at the game and signing autographs on the concourse prior to puck drop. Tickets are free for all girls youth hockey players who wear their jerseys to the game.

Saturday's game is sponsored by Red River Valley Speedway and is a skate with the Force night. You can bring your skates to Scheels Arena and skate with the team for 30 minutes after the game ends. A PA announcement will be made after the game ends instructing you where to go to put on your skates.

Puck drop for both games will be at 7:05PM. Tickets are available at the Scheels Arena Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM, online 24/7 at ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
