Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Black Hawks' 2018 Season Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 8th at 3 p.m. in Waterloo's new Courtyard by Marriott as the initial event during a new partnership between the team and the hotel.
The stylish Courtyard by Marriott is Waterloo's newest hotel property and will now serve as the Official Host Hotel of the Black Hawks. Opened during December at 250 Westfield Avenue in a renovated John Deere tractor works building on the Cedar Valley TechWorks campus, the Courtyard brand comes to the Cedar Valley after more than 30 years of building a reputation for quality around the world among both business and leisure travelers.
"We are very excited about our new partnership with the Black Hawks and the opportunity to welcome season ticket holders to come see what we have to offer during the Hawks' Season Celebration," said Kim DeGood, General Manager of The Courtyard by Marriott. "Providing a first-class experience for visitors is our number one priority and we feel like we have that in common with the Black Hawks organization."
All season ticket holders are invited - free of charge - to this exclusive annual gathering, during which team awards will be announced. A special presentation of season highlights will be featured in the Courtyard's Cedar Oak Banquet Hall. Complementary refreshments and a cash bar will also be available. RSVPs are requested by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 5th by stopping into or calling the Waterloo Black Hawks' front office at (319) 232-3444.
As the Official Host Hotel of the Black Hawks, visiting USHL teams will stay at the Courtyard by Marriott during their trips to Waterloo. Black Hawks fans and visitors will also be encouraged to stay at The Courtyard and save with a special Black Hawks discounted room rate. The proximity of the hotel and a shuttle service to Young Arena offer guests even more reasons to choose The Courtyard by Marriott.
Additionally, the hotel will host hundreds of youth hockey players and parents during the offseason through the Black Hawks' Futures Camps.
