Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard shares both a city and a growing football heritage with their neighbors, the Green Bay Packers. On Saturday night, while the Blizzard is battling the Florida Firecats for the right to advance to ArenaCup7 in Puerto Rico, one of their former players will be returning to Green Bay with his new team to take on the Packers.

Atlanta Falcons SS Ryan Bowers (6-1, 210 Presbyterian) played for the Blizzard in 2005, and as the leader of one of the top defenses in the af2 led the Blizzard to their first-ever playoff appearance. He will return to Titletown as a member of the NFL's Falcons and will see action against the Packers when the two teams face off Saturday night at Lambeau Field.

Bowers is available to local media to discuss his time with the Blizzard and his advancement to the NFL, as well as his thoughts on the success the Blizzard has had this year. He can be reached Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday during the day at (706) 951-7950.

Below is a brief account of Bowers' career. For more information, or to get your 2007 Green Bay Blizzard season tickets, contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264.
