Forest City's Diamaduros Sets CPL Career RBIs Record
July 13, 2011 - Coastal Plain League (Coastal Plain) News Release
Forest City Owls outfielder Konstantine Diamaduros (Wofford / photo courtesy of Pat Grecinger) recently became the new record holder for most career regular season RBIs in Coastal Plain League history.
The previous record of 95 was held by Barrett Kleinknecht (Florence 2007-09). Sunday, July 10, Diamaduros went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, giving him 96 career RBIs in regular season play. Currently, he is sitting on 98 in his career and will look to build that number through the rest of the regular season.
Diamaduros, who has spent the 2009, 2010, and now the 2011 seasons with the Owls, is also tied with Fayetteville's Eric Grabe and former Forest City star Will Skinner for the most career regular season hits at 158. Diamaduros and Grabe will look to break that record tonight when the Owls play host to the Grizzlies, while Fayetteville is on the road in Florence. Nevertheless, the record will be up for grabs through the end of the regular season as these two will obviously continue to add to their current marks.
With regards to his RBIs total, Diamaduros racked up 45 in 2009, 29 in 2010, and is currently at 24 in 2011.
