Force to Hold "Black & Blue Bash" Open House Practice

ATLANTA, GA. – The Georgia Force, of the Arena Football League, will be hosting an open house practice called the "Black & Blue Bash" on Thursday, January 29th at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

The "Black & Blue Bash" will allow fans the opportunity to be the first to meet the players, coaches, and cheerleaders of the 2004 Georgia Force. In addition to meeting the team, the Force's new uniforms will be on display inside the arena.

Fans will be treated to a practice session specifically designed to imitate game situations and speed, followed by a meet and greet with the team. Force players, coaches, and cheerleaders will be available for photographs and autographs. Arena concession and Georgia Force merchandise stands will be open as well.

The "Black & Blue Bash" gives fans a first chance to meet the newest additions to the Force WR/LB Andy McCullough, WR/LB Dialleo Burks, and WR/DB Dameon Porter, along with returning fan favorites QB Leon Murray and OS Markeith Cooper, and the rest of the 2004 team.

Force Advisory Board Chairman and current University of Georgia Athletic Director Vince Dooley will be in attendance from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Collegiate Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion, Kevin Butler, will be on hand.

National Anthem Singer Tryouts:

The Force is holding open tryouts for National Anthem Singers. Individuals interested should visit www.georgiaforce.com and fill out the Audition Entry Form and send it in along with an audition tape to:

Deadline for applications and audition tapes is January 25, 2004. Check-in will begin at 4:00 p.m. with tryouts beginning promptly at 4:30 p.m.

The Force is looking for a PA Announcer / Spotter for the 2004 Season. Individuals interested should visit www.georgiaforce.com and complete the Announcer Audition Entry Form and send it in along with an audition tape to:

The Georgia Force will open their third season of play in the AFL when they kickoff the 2004 season on Sunday, February 8th at 3:00 p.m. against the New York Dragons in the Arena at Gwinnett Center. This season, the Force will look to build on their record eight wins and second round playoff appearance in 2003. A network-TV sport, the AFL will celebrate its 2nd season on NBC in 2004.
