A little under five minutes later Sioux Falls scored their only goal of the night on a 5 on 3 powerpay thanks to Stampede newcomer, Cole Sillinger. The remainder of the period was scoreless, but the Force dominated in puck possession sending in 21 shots on goal compared to just 8 from Sioux Falls.

Halfway through period three, Matt Crasa gave the home team some breathing room, scoring from in tight off a nice crossing pass from Ryan Siedem. Sioux Falls saw more scoring opportunities in the third but were shut down by Fargo netminder Brennan Boynton, and strong penalty killing. With under a minute remaining Austin Wong fired in an empty netter, cementing a 4-1 Force win.
