
Force Acquires Eight Players In Draft

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force selected eight players during the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Dispersal Draft that allocated players from the Harrisburg Heat roster to the other nine active teams.
Harrisburg will be in an inactive status for the 2003-04 season but should return in the 2004-05 season. The Heat was allowed to protect four players that would have to return to Harrisburg. The four players protected by the Heat were David Bascome, Chris Damico, Ato Leone and Genoni Martinez.
The draft order for each round went as follows: Monterrey Fury, St. Louis Steamers, Dallas Sidekicks, San Diego Sockers, Kansas City Comets, Baltimore Blast, Cleveland Force, Philadelphia KiXX and the Milwaukee Wave.
With the seventh pick in the first round, Cleveland selected midfielder Marco Coria. Coria, 32, played just one season in Harrisburg after last playing for the Dallas Sidekicks and the Monterrey La Raza in the World Indoor Soccer League. Marco appeared in 34 games for the Heat last season and was third on the team and tied for 13th in the MISL in scoring with 72 points. Coria recorded 20 goal, 30 assists and 32 blocks. Coria won three WISL championships with the La Raza.
The Force took forward Eduardo Sebrango in the second round. Sebrango, 30, last played indoor soccer for the Buffalo Blizzard during the 2000-01 season. Prior to his year in Buffalo, Eduardo played two seasons with the Montreal Impact of the National Professional Soccer League. In his three seasons of indoor soccer, Sebrango has recorded 37 goals and added 22 assists for a total of 99 points. Eduardo is currently in his second season with the Montreal Impact of the A-League along with Force defender Nevio Pizzolitto.
In the third round, Cleveland selected midfielder Horacio Robledo. Robledo, 23, played his first career indoor season last year for Harrisburg. Horacio, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, played in 33 games while recording six goals and one assist for a total of 14 points.
In the fourth through eighth rounds, the Force selected Niki Budalic, Joe Worthen, Renato Pereira, Carlos Zavala and Rodrigo Costa.
