
Follow The Sun All The Way Through WNBA Draft

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 8, 2009) - Connecticut Sun fans will have the opportunity to follow every move the team makes during the 2009 WNBA Draft on Thursday, April 9th.
A camera in the War Room will allow fans to watch live images throughout the day by logging on to www.connecticutsun.com. Sun General Manager Chris Sienko will provide commentary on Twitter while point guard Lindsay Whalen will also be at the draft, updating a live blog throughout the event.
Connecticut owns the 10th, 17th and 36th picks in the draft, which will be held at 3 p.m. at the NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J. ESPN2 will provide live coverage and analysis of the first round of the draft while ESPNU and NBA TV will broadcast the second and third rounds beginning at 4 p.m.
The Sun tip off their seventh season at Mohegan Sun Arena on June 6th with a 4 p.m. game against the Washington Mystics. That is the first of 17 regular season home games for the Sun, who will be pursuing their seventh consecutive trip to the playoffs.
The WNBA and its 13 member teams are partnering with Ticketmaster in a league-wide initiative beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 9th. Fans may obtain single-game tickets for any home game, including the 2009 WNBA All-Star Game, by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX or by visiting either ticketmaster.com or wnba.com/tickets. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office at that time.
