May 24, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Miami Majesty News Release

Miami, FL. The ABA's 2005 expansion Florida Pit Bulls today announced another addition to its executive team. Carl Collins has been selected as Vice President of Basketball Operations effective immediately. Mr. Collins brings over 13 years of basketball operations and sports marketing experience to the Pit Bulls and is currently President of McCall Enterprises, a South Florida sports and entertainment marketing firm. In the mid '90s, Carl oversaw group and corporate accounts for the Detroit Pistons and sold over $350,000 in suite shares in his first year with the organization. With the Pit Bulls, Carl will be key in securing major corporate sponsorships in addition to his other duties related to basketball operations.

According to Pit Bulls' President and GM, Tim Hardaway, "I met Carl in 1997 and we've been close ever since. He's absolutely perfect for this team and basketball organization. His knowledge of the game and the business of the game is extreme and his work ethic is unparallelled. I am very happy to have him by my side as we work to build the Pit Bulls into the most successful and exciting team in the ABA."

Co-owner Demetrius Ford added, "What can I say about Carl? He seems to know everybody in the world of basketball and everybody who knows him, loves him. Not only is he a great guy personally, but from a business prospective, the guy's Top Shelf. I speak for the entire organization when I say we're very fortunate to have him on the executive team."
