
Florida Firecats Fourth in Week Two Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 292 points to finish fourth in the Week Two Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today. The Firecats, who had a bye last week, were tied for third in the af2 Preseason Poll.
By securing 430 out of a possible 448 points, the defending ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons maintained the top spot in the poll. The Talons opened up the season with a 69-13 win over Amarillo. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the defending American Conference champions, slipped nine spots from number two to number eleven after a 48-41 loss at Quad City. Spokane replaced the Pioneers in second. Central Valley, Florida and Rio Grande Valley rounded out the top five.
Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received.
