Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA (April 2, 2008)-The af2 league office has today assigned veteran kicker David Carlton to the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings. Carlton, who spent the past two seasons with the Arkansas Twisters will be in uniform for Friday's game against the visiting Corpus Christi Sharks at the CenturyTel Center.

"David was a solid kicker with Arkansas last year," said BattleWings' head coach Jon Norris. "We're excited he was available and we've already seen a big improvement in special teams play (during practice)."

Carlton, who played collegiately at Arkansas, connected on 78 of 109 PAT's last year and was 7 of 26 on field goals.

LSU fans may best remember Carlton as part of the Razorback team that beat the Tigers in the Miracle on Markham during the 2002 season.
