
Fleiszer named Eskimo nominee for Tom Pate Award

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced today that defensive lineman Tim Fleiszer has been nominated by his teammates for the CFL's 2005 Tom Pate Award.
The award, which recognizes a player's sportsmanship, as well contributions to his team, and community was named after a former Hamilton Tiger-Cat who suffered an aneurysm during a game at the age of 23 in 1975.
Fleiszer, an eight-year CFL veteran has made numerous charitable appearances on behalf of the club since joining Edmonton in March. The winner of this year's award will be announced on November 24th.
