Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bomber announced today that Jim Daley will not return to coach the team next season. Daley has been relieved of his obligations to the club effective immediately.
"We want to think Jim for all his efforts to make this a winning football team," General Manager Brendan Taman said. "Unfortunately it didn't work out and at this time we have decided to go in a different direction."
Daley was the 25th head coach in the history of the Winnipeg Football Club. He replaced former head coach Dave Ritchie midway through the 2004 season after originally joining the team as its defensive line coach and special teams co-ordinator.
Daley compiled a 10-19 record as head coach of the Blue Bombers.
