Green Bay, Wis. - Flashback Friday at the ballpark as the Bullfrogs take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The Bullfrogs will be wearing the old-school Billy Goat Uniforms for the tonight ' s ballgame. After last night ' s victory, the Bullfrogs move over .500 with a 5-4 record in the second half.
Last night, the Bullfrogs picked up their fourth win in a row as they defeated the Woodchucks 4-1. Andrew Mahoney (Mississippi) picked up his first win of the season as the left-hander went five innings of work, allowing one run on three hits. The bullpen held the Woodchucks scoreless for the last four innings of the ballgame. Jeremy Graf (Flagler) picked up his second safe of the season as he struck out the side in the ninth.
Matt Hoeg (Iowa Western CC) was the Bullfrogs offense last night. The second baseman drove in all four runs for the Bullfrogs. In the fourth, he scored two runs as he hit a single into the left field. He recorded his third RBI on a groundout to short to score Hill Alexander (Midland). Giving the Bullfrogs an insurance run in the eighth, Hoeg hit a sacrifice fly to plate Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) for his fourth and final RBI.
The Bullfrogs send Chad Mabini to the mound as Bullfrogs look for the sweep against the Woodchucks. In his last start, Mabini went six and two-third innings against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He allowed no earned runs on six hits and struck out four. Mabini looks for his second win of the season as he currently has a 1-2 record with a 5.59 ERA.
The Woodchucks Tanner Thomas takes the ball for tonight ' s ballgame. Thomas only lasted four innings in his last start as he gave up seven runs to the Madison Mallards. On the season, the right-hander is 0-1 with an 8.19 ERA in six appearances.
Tonight is also Gallagher ' s Pizza Cow Bell Giveaway as Bullfrogs staff will be handing out cow bells to the first fans entering the ballpark.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm from Joannes Stadium.
