In two games against the Flash last season Jefferson, a University of Arkansas teammate of Utah Jazz guard Ronnie Brewer, averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals. He dropped 25 points and grabbed six rebounds in the inaugural Flash home game on Nov. 27 of last season.

"We are obviously excited to get a player of Dontell's skills and experience," Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "He is long and athletic and brings a new dimension to what we are trying to accomplish on both ends of the court. I really like the fact that he is a tenacious defender."
Jefferson will report to Flash training camp with his new teammates on Saturday. Workouts begin Sunday at Pinnacle Security Gym in Orem.
