Mad Ants Announce 2008 Training Camp Roster

Fort Wayne, IN (November 11, 2008)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants are excited to announce that they have finalized their 2008-09 training camp roster. The team is a nice mix of veterans from the Mad Ants first season and new additions through the 2008 NBA D-League Draft. Some of the notables are Ron Howard, Walker Russell, Jr., and Mad Ants first round pick Coleman Collins.
Collins, a 6'9" forward, averaged 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds at Virginia Tech University his senior season. This past summer he played with the Toronto Raptors in the NBA summer league and this fall he participated in the Phoenix Suns training camp.
Collins, Howard, and Russell will join the other nine Mad Ants draft picks, along with two other returning players, two allocated players, and one player from local player open tryouts to form the 17 player roster.

Training camp opens up on Saturday, November 15. The Mad Ants will be hosting a preseason game on the campus of Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana on November 21, with the 2008-2009 season opener the following week on November 28 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
