RENO, NV, Jan. 12, 2010 - The Utah Flash continued their five game road trip with a visit to Reno, Nevada for a game against the Bighorns. The Flash failed to contain the Bighorns and lost by a score of 98-85. Utah drops to 10-9 on the season while Reno improves to 6-12.

In the first quarter the Flash and Bighorns traded baskets for the majority of the game's opening minutes, until the Flash pulled away and ended the quarter with a three point lead. Utah was led by Andre Ingram's 12 points and 100% field goal percentage in the quarter. Reno's Desmond Farmer had 13 in the first quarter.

The Flash were able to push the lead to seven points behind the aggressive play from Luke Nevill. Nevill had back-to-back put backs and a Flash run was capitalized by an acrobatic Carlos Wheeler lay-up. Despite building a modest lead, the Bighorns bounced back and tie the game at 37 points apiece. Statistically Utah and Reno were nearly identical heading into halftime. The Flash managed to salvage a three point halftime lead.

Utah and Reno continued the back and forth game to start the third quarter. Nevill continued his inside presence with a quick lay-up and dunk. Despite their efforts the Flash could not slow down the hot hand of Farmer. Three of Farmer's game-high seven three-pointers came in the third quarter. Farmer led the Bighorns to the fourth quarter with a four point lead.

The fourth quarter belonged to Reno as they rattled off bucket after bucket. Utah was outscored 30 to 21 in the fourth quarter as Reno sealed up the victory 98 to 85. Farmer's 36 points set a franchise record for most points in a game. Mo Charlo had 17 points for the Bighorns and Rod Benson chipped in 15.

For the Flash, Nevill led all scorers with 28 points and eight rebounds. Ingram chipped in 16 points and Carlos Wheeler had 10 for the Flash. Utah continues its five-game road trip with a trip to Bakersfield to face the Jam on Thursday.
