
Flash Best the Sidekicks

Dallas Sidekicks News Release
Allen, TX - The Dallas Sidekicks suffered a loss in their first home game of the season. The Monterrey Flash beat the Sidekicks 10-6. The Sidekicks next game will be at home against the Kansas City Comets on December 22nd, 2019 at 3.05 PM CT in Allen, TX at the Allen Event Center.
To start off the first quarter, Sidekicks goalkeeper Juan Gamboa saved some crucial shots. The Monterrey Flash's Roberto Escalante scored on a
set piece after Sidekicks player Kristian Quintana was called for a foul and the Flash went up 1-0. The Sidekicks held the ball and were rewarded when Victor Almendariz scored, but the refs called the goal invalid and called a foul on Monterrey which negated the goal. The Sidekicks set up a set piece but did not put it into the net. They were given another opportunity and Sidekicks' player Frederico Moojen put it into the net and brought the game to a tie 1-1. Gamboa continued to put up big saves throughout the quarter.
The second quarter started with the Flash and Sidekicks tied at one apiece. Sidekicks player Ray Aguayo was called for contact above the shoulder and the Flash went on the power player. Monterrey's Brayan Aguilar scored to bring the Flash up 2-1 with 9:28 left in the quarter.
Monterrey's Carlos Pichardo fouled Sidekicks' Billy O'Dwyer. Monterrey's Marco Antonio Tovar scored, making the score 3-1 with less than a minute left in the half. The half ended 3-1 Monterrey.
Sidekicks rookie Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade snagged a goal at :32 into the quarter and brought the Sidekicks to within one of the Flash at 3-2.
The Sidekicks got back to business and Moojen got his second of the night at 2:15 and tied the game 3-3. The rookie Andrade scored his second of the night at 7:54 and the crowd went crazy as the Sidekicks took the lead 4-3. Gamboa continued to make big saves throughout the game and wore the captain's armband well.
At 1:21 in the fourth the Flash tied the game to bring the score 4-4 when Monterrey's Brayan gets his second of the night. Then the Flash's
Damian Garcia took the Flash into the lead 5-4. The Sidekicks quickly answered back when Billy O'Dwyer brought the Sidekicks to tie the Flash 5-5 at 4:42. The Flash would not be denied and took back the lead when Victor Quiroz snuck one past Gamboa to take the Flash up 6-5 with 6:26 left in the quarter. Sidekicks defenders were out of position and the Flash's Hugo Puentes put one past the keeper to take the Flash up 7-5
with 5:16 left in the quarter. The Sidekicks brought in Ricardinho as the sixth attacker to capitalize on the extra-man advantage. With 3:32 left in the game the Flash put another one into the net when Brayan Aguilar got his third of the night and took the Flash up 8-5. The Sidekicks sent a decisive shot into the net and Gustavo Piedra got his first of the season and brought the Sidekicks to within two goals at 8-6. Unfortunately the
Sidekicks' sixth attacker was not able to defend the Flash's Brayan Aguilar from scoring and the Flash took their lead up to 9-6. The Flash finished the game up when Jorge Rios put one in the next against the Sidekicks sixth attacker and the final score was 10-6.
