Flames Sign Sullivan

Saint John, NB – The Saint John Flames announced today the signing of 24-year-old defenceman Jeff Sullivan to a 25-game Professional Tryout Agreement.

Sullivan began the season with the Flames East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs, and has recorded 2 assist and 26 penalty minutes in 10 games. The 6'1", 215 lb native of St. John's, Newfoundland has also appeared in 4 contests with Saint John this season recording 4 penalty minutes. Sullivan was Ottawa's sixth round selection, 146th overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.

Sullivan is expected to join the Flames in Winnipeg in time for tonight's contest versus the Manitoba Moose.

The Flames are in action this weekend visiting the Manitoba Moose at the Winnipeg Arena tonight at 9:30 PM and tomorrow, Saturday, November 23 at 9:30 PM. All Flames broadcasts can be heard live on 96.1 NewSong FM in Saint John or on the web at www.newsongfm.com. All times listed are Saint John time.
