
Bulldogs Shut Out Maple Leafs

Goaltender Ty Conklin stopped all 31 shots he faced and led the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 5-0 victory over the St. John's Maple Leafs in front of 9,045 at Copps Coliseum on Friday night.
With the win the Bulldogs record improves to 12 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie and 1 overtime loss.
Five different players scored for the Bulldogs including Marcel Hossa, Jarret Stoll, Tomas Plekanec, Jason Ward and Michael Ryder.
Players having multi-point games for the Bulldogs were Hossa (1g,2a), Plekanec (1g,1a), Ryder,and Ron Hainsey (2a).
The Bulldogs scored a season high four goals on the power play on Friday (4 for 10). St. John's were 0 for 5 on the power play.
Jason Ward extended his point-streak to 11 games with his second period goal. Over the last 11 games Ward has scored 8g-9a-17pts)
