Flames Release Sullivan from PTO

Saint John, NB – The Saint John Flames announced today that 24-year-old defenceman Jeff Sullivan has been released from his 25-game Professional Tryout Agreement. Sullivan had appeared in one game with the Flames.

The 6'1", 215 lb native of St. John's, Newfoundland, will rejoin the Flames East Coat Hockey League affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs, in Dayton, Ohio for their scheduled contest with the Dayton Bombers this afternoon. Sullivan began the season with Johnstown and appeared in 2 games recording 1 assist and 4 penalty minutes.

The Flames return to action next weekend as they host the Hamilton Bulldogs in back-to-back games on Friday, October 25 and on K-100 Family Night, Saturday, October 26. The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
