
Bulldogs Remain Perfect

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs record remains perfect, as they defeated the Cleveland Barons 6-3 at the Gund Arena on Saturday night. The Bulldogs have won each of their first three regular season games.
Bulldogs captain Benoit Gratton led the way offensively recording a hat-trick, the first for Hamilton this season. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Jani Rita, Jarret Stoll and Jozef Balej. The goal scored by Balej was the first of his professional career.
Bulldogs forward Jason Ward and Bobby Allen contributed offensively as well, as each player assisted on three goals.
Cleveland goals came from Scott Thomas (2) and Burlington native Chad Wiseman.
Goaltender Eric Fichaud earned the win in his debut with the Bulldogs. Fichaud stopped 27 of 30 shots on the night. Gregg Naumenko suffered the loss in goal for Cleveland.
Hamilton was 3 for 13 on the power play, while Cleveland was 2 for 6.
The Bulldogs will return home on Sunday to host former Bulldogs goaltender Marc Lamothe and the Grand Rapids Griffins at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 6:00 p.m.
