
Flames Add Three to Training Camp Roster

Saint John, NB â The Saint John Flames announced today the addition of goaltender Peter Aubry, 25, center Brent Kelly, 21 and defenceman Jay Langager, 21 to the Club's 2002 training camp roster. All three players were recently released from the Calgary Flames training camp.
Aubry, 25, appeared in 29 games last season for Mercyhurst College (NCAA Div I) posting a 19-7-2 record with a 2.28 GAA and .931 save percentage. He recorded 4 shutouts and was selected Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Goalie-of-the-Week six times. Aubry was first in the Conference in goals against average, save percentage and winning percentage (.679). He made All MAAC First Team and MAAC All-Academic Team. He ranked 6th in Division I in save percentage, 11th in winning percentage and 11th in GAA. He finished his NCAA career (all with Mercyhurst) with a 55-26-8 record.
Langager, 21, made his professional debut during the 2001-02 season appearing in 62 games season with the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL posting 21 points (4g-17a) and 42 penalty minutes. He also made his AHL debut, appearing in 5 contests with the Chicago Wolves with 0 pts and 4 PIMs. He finished the season ranked 12th in Greenville scoring and third among Grrrowl defensemen in points.
Kelly, 21, skated last season with the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL. In 67 games he recorded 38 goals and 32 assists for 70 points and 18 penalty minutes. He led the Greyhounds in both total points and goals. He finished his junior career with totals of 171 games played, 86 goals and 118 assists for 204 points and 83 penalty minutes.
The Saint John Flames 2002 training camp opens on Wednesday, September 25. All on-ice workouts from September 25 through to October 4 will be open to the general public.
