Friday, Nov. 10 Rockford 3 vs. Port Huron 6

Although Trevor Edwards started off the night with an early goal in the first period, Rockford answered with three consecutive goals against Dustin Traylen to give the IceHogs a comfortable lead. Down, but not out, the Flags battled back, scoring 5 unanswered goals by Steve Hildenbrand, Brad Bonello, Greg Bullock, Ryan Markham and Mike Olynyk, in that order. A second period fight between Robert Snowball and Eric Lizon fired up the crowd, and Bonello and Bullock claimed 1st and 2nd Stars of the Game, respectively.

Saturday, Nov. 11 Port Huron 3 vs. Quad City 4

Quad City power plays doomed the visiting Flags, as 3 of the Mallards' 4 goals came while Port Huron players were in the penalty box. All 3 of the Flags goals came in the second period, credited to Garett Cameron, Pat Sutton and Ryan Markham. Chad Woolard's power play goal at 17:28 in the third clinched the game for Quad City.

Sunday, Nov. 12 Muskegon 5 vs. Port Huron 3

Port Huron had a spectacular 2nd period, scoring 3 unanswered goals by Ryan Markham, Greg Bullock and Markham again. Pat Sutton won a fight against Billy Collins, which made the fans happy. However, Muskegon came back in the third with 2 goals and an empty netter in the final minute to secure their victory. Markham and Mark Cadotte were awarded 2nd and 3rd Stars of the Game, respectively.

Two of Ryan's goals this weekend came when the team was short-handed on the ice. He was awarded the AT&T 2nd Star of the Game on Sunday against Muskegon. Markham finished the weekend with a +3 rating and is 2nd on the team in scoring, as well as 4th in the league in Rookie Scoring, with 9 points. This is his second time receiving the Flags Player of the Week Award.

Dustin recorded the second home win of the season for the Flags and is fifth in the league right now, with a 2.99 GAA.

Team Notes

- The Flags scored 2 shorthanded goals on the same Muskegon power play in the second period on Sunday night; Ryan Markham at 2:31,assisted by Jeremy Tucker and Greg Bullock at 3:24, assisted by Mark Cadotte.

- Port Huron ended a 4-game losing streak with a come-from-behind 6-3 victory against Rockford on Friday.

- Cadotte is tied for 9th in the league in Forwards scoring with 12 points

- Left Wing Jason Price was signed and added to the roster on Sunday, Nov. 12. Last season he played in the NAHL, with the Texarkana Bandits.

- Left Wing Brad Bonello was traded to the Bloomington PrairieThunder, to complete the 3-for-3 player transaction that began last week with Ryan Gillis and Jeff Cameron.
