Friday, Oct. 20 Port Huron 1 vs. Elmira 4

Frank Littlejohn scored the first goal of the night on a power play at 3:26, with assists from Chris Mann and Jan Skvarka. In the second period, David Morelli contributed the second goal, assisted by Dale Lupul and Scott Wray at 5:01. Yevgeny Lazarev scored in the third at 4:33, on a power play with assists credited to Lupul and Wray again. The Flags went on a 6-3 advantage and Trevor Edwards scored his first goal of the season at 16:47, assisted by Greg Bullock and Jeff Cameron. Elmira rookie Brian Teixeira then landed an empty-netter at 18:59 to make the final score 4-1.

Saturday, Oct. 21 Elmira 4 vs. Port Huron 2

In the first period, on a power play, Port Huron scored first at 11:17 when Left Wing Colt King sent the puck into the net on a wrist shot, with assists from Cameron and Greg Bullock. Shortly after, Elmira regained full strength, but that would not stop Center Jeremy Tucker from scoring at 12:46, on an assist from King. Elmira evened the score in the second period when Wray sent the puck into the net at 11:17, on assists from Luput and Scott Drevitch. Then, with 20 seconds left in the period, Mann scored, unassisted. Luput then capitalized on a 5-3 advantage at 5:38, on assists from Drevitch and Lazarev. Shortly after, Lazarev recorded an open net goal in the final seconds of the game to stop the Flags.

Sunday, Oct. 22 Elmira 3 vs. Port Huron 2 (SO)

Center Steve Hildenbrand scored first for the Flags, at 17:19, assisted by Bullock and Chris Pittman.

In the second period, Bullock took the honors, with the assist from Hildenbrand. Elmira used the third period to its advantage, tying up the score with goals from Morelli and Lupul, at 6:43 and 11:15, respectively. The end of regulation play ushered in the first shoot-out of the season in the UHL. Kris Tebbs tended the goal for Elmira, while Noah Ruden assumed the position for Port Huron. The results of the shoot-out are as follows:

Elmira's win in the shoot-out gave them the final victory; however Port Huron recorded a point for a shoot-out loss.

Player of the Week: Jeremy Tucker

Tucker scored his second goal of the season during Saturday night's game and is playing very well, according to Head Coach Stan Drulia. He is tied for 8th in the league in rookie scoring.

Goaltender of the Week: Noah Ruden

Ruden had his first professional start against Elmira and had a save percentage of .93 between Friday and Sunday. He is working very well in front of the net and already showing signs of maturity in his position.

- Flags defense has allowed just 3 even-strength goals in 5 games

The Flags face the undefeated Fury on Friday, where the defense will have its hands full in shutting down the 6 leading scorers in the league from Muskegon.

The team returns to McMorran Arena on Saturday, to host the Quad City Mallards who are currently on a three-game losing streak.

Sunday's match-up pits the Flags at home against the Kalamazoo Wings, another undefeated team. Port Huron will have to watch out for K-Wing Forward Scott Droben who has already recorded 3 goals and 1 assists with a +2 rating.
