
UHL names players of the week

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Monday that Muskegon Fury center Todd Robinson has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week and Elmira Jackals goaltender Kris Tebbs has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 22nd, 2006.
Robinson completed the week with 11 points (3g, 8a) and a plus-6 rating in three games played. On Friday, he netted the game-winning goal and dished out two assists in the 7-1 victory vs. Bloomington. He added three points (1g, 2a) in the 4-2 win vs. Chicago on Saturday. Robinson wrapped up the weekend with five points (1g, 4a) in the 7-3 victory vs. Flint on Sunday. The five points are a league season high for an individual player. The 28-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia currently leads the UHL in scoring with 15 points (4g, 11a) and is tied for third with a plus-9 rating. He has scored in all five Fury games this season.
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week include: Bloomington left wing Garett Cameron, Chicago forward Mike Zbriger, Elmira defenseman Dale Lupul, Flint forward Steve Roberts, Fort Wayne left wing Daniel Goneau, Kalamazoo forward Scott Dobben, Port Huron center Jeremy Tucker, Quad City forward Don Parsons, and Rockford right wing Jesse Bennefield.
Tebbs finished the week with a 2-0-0 record, a 2.00 goals against average (GAA), and a .948 save percentage (SPCT). He stopped 45 shots in the 4-2 victory vs. Port Huron on Saturday. It was his first victory of the 2006-07 season. On Sunday, Tebbs made 28 saves and stopped all three attempts in the shootout during the 3-2 shootout victory over Port Huron. The 25-year-old Calgary, Alberta native has made four appearances this season and has a .910 SPCT. He also earned goaltender weekly honors once during the 2005-06 season.
