Five Thorns FC Players Named to U.S. Women's National Team Roster for January Training Camp

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC midfielders Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan and Allie Long, defender Emily Sonnett and goalkeeper Adrianna Franch have been named to the 29-player U.S. Women's National Team roster for the team's training camp set for Jan. 13-23 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif., it was announced today.

Heath (128 caps), Horan (30 caps) and Long (20 caps) were all included on the U.S. Women's National Team roster that defeated Romania in back-to-back matches in a 8-1 win on Nov. 10, 2016, and a 5-0 win on Nov. 13, 2016. Sonnett (12 caps), last appeared for the national team in a 4-0 win over Switzerland on Oct. 19. Franch, who has yet to receive an international cap, was called into the national team's January training camp in 2016.

The January training camp will serve as an evaluation period for the players ahead of the upcoming SheBelievesCup, which will feature four of the world's top-five ranked teams in the USA (1), Germany (2), France (3) and England (5).
