Tri-City Storm News Release

KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced Thursday that five of its players were included on the National Hockey League's Central Scouting midseason rankings released today.

The five Storm players listed are forwards John Dingle and Tom Pohl, defensemen Chris Zarb and Jake Obermeyer and goaltender Peter Mannino.

NHL Central Scouting lists the top players from both the junior and college hockey ranks. The 30 NHL teams use the rankings when preparing for the 2004 NHL entry draft. The midseason ranking is a shorter version of the preliminary ranking that was released in December. Eight Storm players were included on the preliminary ranking.

Former Storm goaltender Bernd Bruckler is the only Storm player ever taken in the NHL's entry draft. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Bruckler in the fifth round of the 2001 entry draft. Bruckler is in his junior year at Wisconsin University.
