
McKenzie named to All-Star Roster

Sioux Falls, SD--Team captain, Jim McKenzie has been selected to play in the USHL Prospects/All-Star game February 3rd in Lincoln, NE. The rosters are selected by the USHL in conjunction with the NHL's Central Scouting Service. On average, 30 percent of the 40-man roster is selected specifically by NHL Central Scouting. The roster is then split into two teams: Team USHL and Team World.
McKenzie was named to the Team USHL roster. A native of Woodbury, MN, McKenzie is in his second season with the Stampede and is currently the teams' leading scorer with 33 points on 14 goals and 19 assists. In 31 games played this season McKenzie has a plus-minus rating of plus-11.
Last night, McKenzie had a goal and three assists and finished the game as a plus-3 in the Stampede's 8-4 win over the River City Lancers. McKenzie and the Stampede return to action tomorrow night (Friday) versus the Danville Wings at the Sioux Falls Arena. Game time is 7:05 PM.
