
Five Mountaineers Selected to All-Star Team

MONTPELIER, Vt. - Five Vermont Mountaineers have been named to the 2015 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) Northern Division All-Star team for their performances this summer. The All-Star teams were chosen by each division's six managers, who nominated players before a consensus was reached amongst the group.
The game, scheduled to begin at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, will be hosted by the Sanford Mainers and played Goodall Park.
The Northern Division roster consists of an all-Vermont middle infield, with Garrett Copeland (Bartlett, Tenn. / Austin Peay) and Thomas Roulis (New Hyde Park, N.Y. / Dartmouth) set to start at shortstop and second base, respectively.
Catcher Ridge Smith (Clarksville, Tenn. / Austin Peay) was selected as on of the top three catchers in the Northern Division.
Two southpaws in starting pitcher Casey Brown (Wenonah, N.J. / Central Connecticut State) and reliever Teddy Rodliff (West Babylon, N.Y. / Stony Brook) were selected to throw one inning each in the contest.
