MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Fisher Cats Foundation, and WMUR presented a check for $7,350.25 to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock on Wednesday afternoon. The donation represents money raised through WMUR Play Ball for CHaD Night with the Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on August 14.

The game featured several fundraising components, the primary being fifty-percent of ticket sales after May 3 being earmarked for CHaD. Additional funds were raised through a celebrity dunk tank featuring WMUR personalities and a 50/50 raffle.

"It's a pleasure to work with WMUR to create this night for CHaD," said Rick Brenner, President of the Fisher Cats. "Doctors and nurses continually provide top-notch care to the state's sickest children, and we feel fortunate to be able to give back, too."

In addition to the fundraising components, CHaD kids and their families were treated to a special night at the ballpark, highlighted by the opportunity to take batting practice on the field with WMUR Sports Director Jamie Station, Fisher Cats manager Sal Fasano, and several Fisher Cats players. Governor John Lynch and Dr. Susan Lynch, a doctor at CHaD, were both on-hand to interact with the families. A special visit by Einstein, the Smallest Stallion, entertained fans entering the ballpark.

The Fisher Cats continue their homestand tonight against the Binghamton Mets at 7:05 PM. The first 2,500 fans receive a team player poster courtesy of Spectrum Marketing Companies. All fans can win free prizes by playing USA Subs Baseball Bingo. For tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
