New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have won the first two games of a big mid-week series in Binghamton, moving to within a game of the first place Mets in the Northern Division of the Eastern League. Fisher Cats pitcher Gustavo Chacin worked seven no-hit innings and earned his 10th win in last night's 2-0 win over Binghatmon. Reliever Travis Thompson did not allow a hit in the eighth inning, but Mets shortstop Gil Velazquez led off the ninth with a single, the only hit Binghamton had in the game.
In winning three straight games, Fisher Cat pitchers have allowed a total of seven hits.
The Fisher Cats return to Gill Stadium Friday night to open a series with the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Good tickets remain for all three games with Trenton. For tickets, call 603-641-2005 or visit www.nhfishercats.com.
