Fisher Cats and NHIAA Announce 10-Year Agreement

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association today announced a 10-year agreement to continue playing all four of the state's High School Baseball Championship Games at MerchantsAuto.com Stadium through 2016.
"Last year's championship events that were held at MerchantsAuto.com Stadium with the support of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats went extremely well," said Pat Corbin, Executive Director of the NHIAA.
"I can't emphasize enough how impressed and pleased the student athletes, coaches and fans were with the facility. It is truly a unique experience for the young people involved, and we greatly appreciate the willingness of the Fisher Cats to continue with this relationship," Corbin added.
"We are honored to now be known as the home of the NHIAA Baseball Championships," said Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. "The kids taking part in these games deserve to play on this Major League-caliber field, and it is our pleasure to afford them this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
This year's High School Baseball Championship Games will be played on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10. On June 9, the Class M Championship Game is slated for 1pm, followed by the Class I Championship Game at 5pm. On June 10, the Class S Championship Game will get underway at 1pm, with the Class L Championship Game set to begin at 5pm.
In addition to hosting the NHIAA Baseball Championships this year, the Fisher Cats are also launching the inaugural High School Baseball Series, allowing schools to fundraise while also playing a regular season game at MerchantsAuto.com Stadium.
