Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that right-handed pitcher Corey Bass and infielder Patrick Brooks have been released.

Bass, 25, was 1-0 with a 9.39 ERA in 10 games with the Goldeyes this season. He was signed on July 17 after playing the first half of the season with the Lake County Fielders.

Brooks, 25, appeared in six games with the Goldeyes and had a .080 batting average since being signed on August 3.

These two roster moves leaves Winnipeg with 21 players on its roster, including 11 pitchers and 10 position players.

Winnipeg begins a seven-game road trip tomorrow night against the Kansas City T-Bones at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
