The QMJHL's 1st overall Baie-Comeau Drakkar scored three 1st period goals to topple the Wildcats 6-3 before 2,100 fans at the Henry-Leonard Centre on Wednesday night.
The Q's leading goal scorer, Justin Poirier, scored twice giving him 39 this season. Moncton goals to Miles Müller (19th), Oscar Plandowski (5th) and Thomas Auger (15th).
The Drakkar fired 37 shots at Keegan Warren while the Wildcats countered with 31 at Charles-Edward Gravel.
The Québec road trip resumes on Friday night with the Wildcats (28-14-3-3) facing the Sagueneens in Chicoutimi at 8:30pm and the Voltigeurs in Drummondville Saturday at 5pm - all times Atlantic. Catch all the action on the Harvesters Radio, 105.1 FM Moncton and the CHL TV webcast.
