
First FC Dallas Home Jersey Produced in Team History to be Auctioned off at Norm-A-Thon

Dallas, Tex. â FC Dallas President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the first-ever FC Dallas produced home jersey will be presented to the lucky auction winner at The Ticket's Norm-A-Thon on Monday, December 27 at Whataburger.
The Norm-A-Thon, hosted by The Ticket's Norm Hitzges, will be on December 27 at the Whataburger located at 1910 N. Coit Road in Richardson beginning at 5:30 a.m. and running until midnight. Raising money for the Austin Street Center, Norm will auction off the first FC Dallas produced home jersey in team history and two tickets to opening day at the state-of-the-art Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center. The jersey will be presented to the lucky winner on a future date by their favorite FC Dallas player and President and General Manager Greg Elliott with the fan's name and number on it. Although the design of the new kit has not been announced, it will have a unique look for the team and Major League Soccer as FC Dallas will begin play in their new 21,193 seat soccer stadium in the spring of 2005.
FC Dallas will move into a 117-acre facility located at the intersection of Main Street and Dallas North Tollway in Frisco beginning in the spring of 2005. The Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center will feature a 21,193 seat soccer stadium and will accommodate Major League Soccer matches, major concerts, international soccer matches, U.S. Men's and Women's National Team soccer matches and High School football. Adjacent to the stadium will be 17 regulation size, tournament-grade soccer fields which will be utilized on a year-round basis.
Hitzges is one of the most recognized sports personalities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His show on KTCK The Ticket can be heard from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Hitzges has been on The Ticket since 2000, working the previous 15 years as the morning drive time voice for 570 KLIF.
Austin Street Center is a residential, pastoral-care program, offering help and hope to those in need. It is a safe, clean, comfortable environment for those who may wish to get off the street for a few days with an atmosphere that allows them to seek help in changing their particular life situations with a compassionate, caring staff.
