Fireworks, Giveaways and More on Tap in this Week's Flying Squirrels Homestand

FUNNVILLE - After the longest road trip of the season, the Richmond Flying Squirrels are back in Funnville this week for a six-game homestand at The Diamond from Tuesday through Sunday. The jam-packed home set includes two fireworks shows, four giveaways, two chances for kids to run the bases postgame, catch with Dad on the field for Father's Day and much more.

Tickets for all six games of the homestand are available online at SquirrelsBaseball.com/Tickets, by phone at 804-359-FUNN (3866) and in person at the Flying Squirrels offices at The Diamond.

The games on Thursday and Saturday will feature postgame In-Your-Face Fireworks. Giveaways in the homestand include the Dodgeball Tribute T-shirt (Tuesday), The Fan RVA Fanny Pack (Wednesday), the Ardillas Voladoras Luchador Mask Giveaway (Friday) and the Adam Duvall Mini-Bat Giveaway (Sunday).

The homestand concludes on Sunday afternoon with a special Father's Day celebration and Pregame Catch on the Field with Dad. Fans can enter the field through the Section 107-108 field gate near the first base dugout.

From Tuesday through Thursday, the Flying Squirrels welcome the Harrisburg Senators, Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, for the first time this season. The weekend series from Friday through Sunday features a showdown between the Flying Squirrels and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ardillas Voladoras Luchador Mask Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans 15 & older as part of the team's Copa de la Diversión initiative

Copa de la Diversión Jeff Jarrett Legends of Wrestling Appearance: As part of the 10 memorable past promotions series, WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Jeff Jarrett makes an appearance at The Diamond. Public meet & greet in the Nutzyville Kids Zone presented by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Postgame Kids Run the Bases: Kids 14 & younger can run the bases following Friday and Sunday home games in Funnville presented by Richmond Family Magazine. Kids wanting to run the bases are asked the line up at the Section 107-108 field gate near the first base dugout at the conclusion of the game.

Friday Happy Hour: Enjoy happy hour drink specials from 6-8 p.m. each Friday home game in Funnville. Specials include $2 12-ounce domestic beers at all concession stands, Beer Express carts and The Thirsty Acorn as well as $2 fountain sodas at the Pepsi Fountain (located on main concourse, first base side)

ASK Foundation Day presented by Anthem: Join the Flying Squirrels in saluting the kids from the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation during the Kourageous Kids victory lap in the middle of the 7th inning

Hero Jersey Auction: These custom jerseys feature the blue & yellow ASK colors and are designed in the likeness of a popular comic book character. Proceeds from the hero jersey auction benefit the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Adam Duvall Mini-Bat Giveaway: As part of the 10 memorable past players series, the first 1,000 fans 14 & younger receive a mini-bat featuring former Flying Squirrels slugger and National League All-Star Adam Duvall presented by Kings Dominion

Pregame Catch on the Field with Dad: Celebrate Father's Day with a catch in the outfield with Dad. Families are invited down to the field to play catch in the outfield from 12:15-12:35 p.m. presented by Nesquik.

The Eastern League All-Star Week presented by Genworth begins on Sunday, July 7 with Mayor Levar Stoney's All-Star Week Kickoff at Brown's island, a free event with live music, delicious food and more. The festivities continue with the All-Star Country Music Jam featuring Big & Rich on Monday, July 8 at Virginia Credit Union Live at Richmond Raceway. The Eastern League Celebrity Home Run Derby is on Tuesday, July 9 and features a star-studded list of participants with ties to the Richmond area from across the sports and entertainment worlds. The week concludes with the Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 10 featuring future MLB stars from across the Eastern League. Tickets are available now at SquirrelsBaseball.com/AllStar.
