ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies bats exploded for a season-high 14 runs to take care of the GreenJackets on Tuesday night, 14-2. The first five hitters in the lineup combined for ten hits - including Kevin Kaczmarski's 3-for-5 night at the plate.
DROPPING BOMBS: Columbia launched a single-game best four home runs Tuesday. Luis Ortega, Dash Winningham, Ivan Wilson and Kaczmarski all hit jacks to plate nine of the home team's 14 runs.
RISE AND SHINE: The Fireflies take the field for their final scheduled morning start time. Columbia is 2-1 in morning games this season.

ORTEGA'S ORIENTATION: Just days after being added to the Fireflies roster, Ortega is off to a hot start at the dish. The Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, native is 4-for-8 with 3 RBIs in his first two games wearing a Columbia uniform.
GOOD EYE: Columbia leads the South Atlantic League in walks with 181. Nine Fireflies players have worked a free pass at least ten times this season. Vinny Siena is second in the league in walks (33) behind Greenville's Josh Ockimey (35).
QUARTER-FINALS: Fans can vote at this link for Spirit Communications Park in Ballpark Digest's "Best of the Ballparks" competition. Spirit Communications Park - rated a three-seed out of 30 Low-A Minor League ballparks - has advanced to the quarter-finals and is slotted against six-seed Fifth Third Field (Dayton Dragons - Midwest League, Cincinnati Reds). Voting for the quarter-final round ends TONIGHT, Wednesday, May 25, at 10:00 p.m.
