ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia played in its first 1-0 game of the season on Monday, but came out on the losing end. It was a gem of a pitching matchup between David Peterson (7 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER) and Michael Baumann (7 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER).
DON'T BLINK: Monday's game lasted just two hours and 14 minutes - the shortest nine-inning affair so far this season. Columbia's quickest game in 2017 was two hours and two minutes (May 6).
AGAINST LEFTIES: Blake Tiberi leads the club with a sizzling .361 batting average against southpaws. Jeremy Vasquez is second on the club with a .289 average.
DOWN TO THE WIRE: The Fireflies and Shorebirds have played in three straight one-run contests. Columbia has experienced seven of its 12 one-run games in May. The squad has won three of those seven games.
THE BRO-WONDER: Columbia centerfielder Quinn Brodey is second in league with 27 RBIs and third with 17 extra-base hits (9 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs).
STRONG STRETCHES: There have been several impressive streaks from the Fireflies to start the season.

- Jeremy Vasquez: 29-game on-base streak (April 5-May 6)
- Scott Manea: 16-game on-base streak (April 21-May 12)
Raphael Gladu is currently on a 10-game on-base streak and has hit safely in his last five contests. Gladu also holds a .346 batting average over the last 10 games.
