FireAntz' Tamblyn Suspended

[Fayetteville, NC]- The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced today that center Corey Tamblyn has been suspended one game by the league for his actions in Saturday night's contest at Columbus. He received a major penalty, and game misconduct, for checking from behind at 11:08 of the 1st period in the club's 5-2 loss. Tamblyn, will miss tonight's contest, also against Columbus.

The FireAntz also may be missing the services of forward Brandon Richardson. He left Saturday's contest after receiving a game misconduct for verbal abuse of officials at 13:53 of the second period. He also sustained an undisclosed injury and will be a game-time decision for tonight's contest.

The FireAntz host Public Safety/ Scout Night tonight, Monday, January 20th at 7 pm at the Crown Coliseum. Scouts in their "Class A" uniform will receive a free ticket to the game when they go to the Box Office. It's also Teddy Bear Toss Night for fans to throw their Teddy Bears on the ice when the FireAntz score their first goal of the game. Proceeds will go to first responders.
