FireAntz Sign Sadjadi and Moreland

[FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.] - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced today that club has signed goaltender Michael Sadjadi and forward Matt Moreland. The club has also waived goaltender James Moskos and forward Phil Gianfrancesco to accommodate the two additions to the roster.

Sadjadi, who was in training camp with the FireAntz this season, joins the club from the Wooster Warriors of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL). In five games played, he was 0-5-0 with a 6.99 goals against average and a .778 save percentage. In portions of two games played with the FireAntz during the pre-season, Sadjadi turned aside 32 of 33 shots against the Richmond Renegades.

Moreland joins the club after playing in only two games for the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Prior to that Moreland played three seasons for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). In 131 games played he tallied 63 goals, 65 assists and 128 points.

The FireAntz will play their next three games on the road and return home on January 11th to face off with the Knoxville Ice Bears for the second time at home this season. They have a game the next night as well, January 12th, against the Jacksonville Barracudas. The puck drops both nights at 7:30 pm at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville. Great seats still remain.
