FireAntz acquire Welch

[FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.] - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced today the completion of a trade with The Twin City Cyclones. Defenseman Dylan Row will go to the Cyclones in exchange for forward Edan Welch.

Row, a 5'11" 195-pound defenseman from Winnipeg, Manitoba made the SPHL All Rookie Team last season. He was the leading goal scorer in the SPHL among defenseman with 15. Acquiring 41 points for the FireAntz last season, Row finished with 15 goals and 26 assists in the regular season.

Welch, a 5'9" 185-pound forward from Oromocto, New Brunswick was the 2nd leading scorer for the Cyclones last season. In 53 games he accumulated 75 points on 17 goals and 58 assists. Welch was also the 6th leading scorer in the SPHL and second in assists, behind FireAntz forward Tim Velemirovich, who had 59.

Having played 269 professional games, Welch becomes the 2nd veteran signed, along with B.J. Stephens, for the upcoming FireAntz campaign.
