Fire Releases 2005 Schedule

Louisville Fire News Release


The Louisville Fire arenafootball2 team has released their 2005 schedule. This season will feature home games against division rivals Albany, Green Bay and Manchester. The home season will also feature a visit from the Quad City Steamwheelers and the first ever visit from the San Diego Riptide.

The Fire will open the 2005 season on the road with a trip to Hidalgo, Texas to face the Rio Grande Valley Dorados on April 9 at 7:30 P.M. The home season will open on Friday April 15 in Freedom Hall as the South Georgia Wildcats visit at 7:30 P.M. Saturday April 30 will feature a battle between two University of Alabama legends when the Birmingham Steeldogs and coach Bobby Humphery visit Freedom Hall to take on coach Tommy Johnson and the Fire.

The Fire will have two home games in May against the Florida Firecats on May 21 and East Division rival Albany Conquest on May 27. June will feature just one home game as the Green Bay Blizzard come to Freedom Hall on June 18. The Fire will travel to Quad City on June 4 for a rematch of last season first round playoff game which the Fire won on the last play of the game to knock Quad City out of the playoffs. The following week the Fire will travel to Birmingham for a rematch with the Steeldogs.

After a league wide bye on July 4 weekend the Fire will finish the 2005 season with three home games in four weeks. The Fire will begin their final stretch with a visit from the San Diego Riptide on Saturday July 9. After visiting Oklahoma City the Fire will return home on July 23 to face East Division rival the Manchester Wolves. The Fire will finish the 2005 regular season with a re-match against the Quad City Steamwheelers in Freedom Hall on July 30. The entire 2005 schedule is listed below.
