
Dusters unveil 2005 af2 schedule

Chicago-The Af2 Office officially released the 2005 schedule today. The Amarillo Dusters will participate in "Kickoff Weekend" on Friday April 1st by hosting the Tulsa Talons at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Dusters will have 8 home games, as well as 8 road games this season. Dusters fans will see 8 different teams at the Cellar this season. The Dusters will be competing in the National Conference's Midwest Division, with new rivals Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, Memphis Xplorers, Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings, and the Quad Cities Steamwheelers.
"This is an awesome opportunity for the Amarillo Dusters to make a statement," said Dusters Director of Football Operations Warren McCarty. "We play 11 different teams over 16 regular season games. We will face the defending Af2 Champion Florida Firecats on their home turf. We'll face 6 different playoff teams here at the Cellar. Our fans will see a variety of quality teams, and they'll see exciting action. We've taken our organization to the next level, and it will show on the field this season."
