Final game of season for Stampede Tuesday

Boise, ID (March 7, 2005) — The Idaho Stampede (23-24) host the Yakima SunKings (15-30) Tuesday night at the Idaho Center in the season finale for the Idaho squad. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with tip-off at 7:10 p.m.

Fans are asked to wear red and black to show support for the team. Stampede players will wear the team's red and black "away" uniforms on Tuesday night.

The two teams met Sunday in Yakima, with Idaho winning 116-109 in overtime. Idaho has won eight of 10 games this season against the SunKings.

Tickets: Any fans holding unused tickets from this Idaho Stampede season can redeem those tickets for seats on Tuesday night. The "Never An Unused Ticket" program, designed for ticket holders who miss games to redeem the tickets for future games, has been a huge success in its third year.

"It adds value for the fans," said the Stampede's Steve Brandes. "Your tickets are always good, until the end of the season. There is no limit, as long as the ticket hasn't been used, so fans can bring all their unused tickets and a group of friends and enjoy the game."

Group Ticket Sales: The Idaho Stampede sales team has presold more than 3,000 tickets for Tuesday's game.

"The front office sales people have done a great job building interest and selling tickets all season long," said President & GM John Brunelle. "This is the final chance to see the team this year, we expect a good crowd."

Giveaways: The first 100 fans will receive a PromoShop "surfer" bobblehead, and there will be additional giveaways throughout the evening. T-Shirts, thunderstix, basketballs and other items will be among the prizes given to random fans throughout the evening.

Children's Fun Zone: The Stampede and the Boise Hawks have set up a special area at the arena for children to play during the game. The Hawks have brought their inflatable slide and bounce house to go along with the Stampede's "Clown House" astro-jump and pop-a-shots. In addition, an 8-foot tall inflatable "Shrek" will be given away in a drawing.

Mascot Mayhem: More than a dozen local mascots will join Rumble for a night of fun with fans. Smokey the Bear, Bonk, and Humphrey the Hawk are all scheduled to appear. The halftime show will be basketball contest between the mascots.

Parma School Students: Nearly 200 students from Parma Elementary will attend as part of the school's reading program. The Stampede's Alhaji Mohammed recently spoke at the school as part of the Key Bank Reading Stampede and the students earned game tickets through the Accelerated Reader program.

Nampa Chamber/PM Connect: TitleOne, Treasure Valley Engineers and the Nampa Chamber of Commerce are hosting a party for chamber members and families during the game. These sponsors for the event have provided a special networking section and game tickets. Chamber Director Georgia Bowman and President Jeff Tunnison will participate in a shooting contest during the game.

Radio Broadcast: All games, home and away, are broadcast on KFXD 630 AM. Veteran play-by-play announcer Scott Johnson calls home games.

Live Video Streaming with Audio: The Idaho Stampede continues to be the only professional basketball team in the world, outside of the NBA, to broadcast all of its home games live. The Crucial Technology StampedeVision, a live audio and video streaming provided by Fiberpipe, is available for all home games. Fans can link to the live streaming at www.idahostampede.com. This internet-based broadcast is an innovation that the Idaho Stampede originated through its front office connections to a local leader in technology, Fiberpipe.net. Thousands of fans throughout the world have logged into the Fiberpipe servers to watch the games live and through the archives. All games are stored and accessible at any time for viewing and are accessed regularly by agents, coaches, scouts and Stampede fans.

Live Stats and Play-by-Play (text only) Internet: The CBA provides a textual webcast of scoring and statistics for all CBA games. It is updated regularly and includes a shot chart. It can be accessed at www.cbahoopsonline.com.

TitleOne Signing Party: A group of Stampede players and Stampede Spirit Dance team members will participate in the postgame TitleOne Signing Party immediately following the games. This autograph session is an opportunity for fans to connect with some of the players and dancers from the Stampede.
